Effective August 19, 2026
Terms of use
These terms govern use of Good Detour, a free and open-source browser extension.
The service
Good Detour lets you create browser rules that redirect websites to destinations you choose. Redirects can affect navigation, authentication flows, purchases, and other web activity. Review each rule carefully and pause the extension if a site behaves unexpectedly.
No Good Detour account
This version does not create a Good Detour account or membership. A Google account used for optional Chrome Sync and a GitHub account used for feedback are separate services governed by their providers.
Your responsibility
You are responsible for the rules and destination URLs you configure and for complying with applicable law and third-party terms. Do not use the extension to mislead others, bypass access controls, facilitate fraud, or interfere with systems you do not own or control.
Availability and changes
The extension is provided free of charge and may change or be discontinued. Reasonable efforts will be made to preserve exported rule compatibility, but uninterrupted or error-free operation is not guaranteed.
No professional advice
Suggested destinations are convenience examples, not endorsements or legal, medical, financial, political, or professional advice. Good Detour is not affiliated with the suggested sites.
Disclaimer and liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the extension is provided “as is” without warranties, and the maintainers are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded remain unaffected.
Privacy
The privacy policy explains the extension's local storage, permissions, deletion controls, and data practices and forms part of these terms. Where applicable, it also explains California and other U.S. state privacy rights. You can stop using Good Detour at any time, delete local and synced extension data from Settings, and uninstall the extension. Deleting extension data does not delete separate JSON backups, Google accounts, or public GitHub feedback.

Email admin@productlab.ai for private support, legal, or privacy questions. General product feedback may use the public support tracker. Do not include sensitive URLs, account information, or browsing history in a public issue or email unless necessary.
